Hi, I hope you had a good weekend.
Here’s something for you… For those who don’t know, there’s a new Urban Outfitters store in Brooklyn - GREAT NEWS right!
… and it’s such a pleasure to browse the store because it’s EMPTY - the store is all yours, no waiting at the fitting rooms - not only 0 and 2 sized clothes left - everybody’s nice, without stress…
Here’s the new location: 166 Atlantic Ave - Brooklyn, NY 12201 [map]
If you want to get in the mood before shopping, here are also two great mixes provided by UO this means 42 trendy and FREE songs… enjoy!
In between trucks, 4×4 and big S.U.V.s you can find old treasures coming out of nowhere. They often hide in Brooklyn’s lost streets or luxurious Manhattan areas.
I like to capture these UDOs (Unidentified Driving Objects) before they disappear.
This is not about money (note: these days we only count money in billions..) but about rats. It is a real rat invasion in Soho-NY that happened in less than 2 weeks. It all started with this one next to my office a few days after Lehman Brothers’ fall.
At the corner of Broadway and Howard St.
Then a few blocks away on Grand St and Wooster:
Another one on West Houston:
And the last one on Canal St and West Broadway:
The artist behind this is Banksy, a British graffiti artist. His artwork is well known for being satirical about politics, culture and ethics…
A few question still remain.. why rats? why SoHo? is there more artwork to come?
People are still debating whether it is Banksy or not… I have a clue: I found his Signature Rat next to one of these artwork…
Empty boardwalk, empty beach, the roller coaster is silent, nobody is screaming…
I really enjoyed Coney Island this Summer but I like it even more Off-season! The sun is going down early, perfect light to shoot the landscape. Unfortunately the battery of my camera was empty… I only have a few photos [here]. I’ll have to go back… again
This Sunday, the Atlantic Antic Fair took place in Brooklyn on Atlantic Avenue -of course. It’s the biggest fair in NYC with its 10 blocks of food, music and animation.
What I enjoyed the most was the New York Transit Museum collection of vintage buses. [Photos]
